realMendocino: a guide to coastal Mendocino County

This site is still being developed, but it is now officially useful. The photo gallery is functional, with new photos being added frequently. The bulletin board has been the latest focus of our crack team of programmers (OK, it's just little ol' me) and it's now working and receiving submissions. The directory is starting to be useful, with dozens of listings for Mendocino town, a few for the rest of the coast, and many more listings to be added.
Several account functions are now functional. You can set up an account (it’s free), and upload your photos to the gallery, post to the bulletin board, add new directory listings, and set up store pages. Plus, you can edit those things once they're posted.
A brief word about those store pages: when researching listings for the directory, I noticed that many local stores have no web presence. In a time when fewer and fewer people are using phone books, this is a bad thing. I set up store pages so that shopkeepers and professionals can easily set up a mini-site in a few minutes and maintain it painlessly.
Soon, we'll have a complete directory of local businesses including artists, an events calendar, photo galleries of Mendocino parks, historical info, and heaps and gobs of other stuff.
